About Me.
I have always been fascinated by homes, not just how they look, but how they make people feel.
The way a kitchen becomes the heart of family life. The way natural light can change the mood of a room. The way a thoughtful layout can make everyday living feel easier, calmer and more connected.
My fascination with homes began with my first property purchase almost 30 years ago. Since then, I have renovated and flipped homes, worked alongside architects and trades, specified colours and finishes, and spent countless hours helping friends, family and clients think through renovation decisions.

A clearer way to think about renovating.
What has always interested me most is not the renovation itself is understanding how a home can support the life you want to live within it.
Because the homes people connect with most are rarely defined by expensive finishes or the latest trends. They are the homes that feel right. They flow naturally. They work with the rhythms of everyday life. They create spaces for connection, relaxation, entertaining and simply enjoying where you live.
My background combines practical property experience with formal study in Psychology and Marketing.
That combination has shaped the way I see homes.
I am interested in how people experience space. What creates emotional connection. How layout influences behaviour. Why some homes immediately feel welcoming and comfortable, while others never quite feel settled despite significant investment.
Here on the Sunshine Coast, lifestyle plays an important role in the way we experience our homes.
We live differently. We spend more time outdoors. We value natural light, breezes, connection to gardens, decks, pools and entertaining spaces. We want our homes to support family life, accommodate changing needs and create opportunities to gather with the people who matter most.
Often the greatest opportunity is not adding more.
It is uncovering how a property can work more naturally for the people living there.
Why I Started Before You Renovate
I started Before You Renovate because I saw too many people making expensive decisions before they had the clarity they needed.
Sometimes a kitchen or a bathroom renovation is the right path.
Sometimes the answer lies in rethinking priorities, improving flow or focusing on the parts of a home that have the greatest influence on everyday living.
Whether you are renovating for your family, preparing a property for sale or considering the purchase of a renovator, my role is to help you see the possibilities within a property and make thoughtful decisions before committing significant time and money.
Because when a home reflects the way you want to live, the result is often far more meaningful than the renovation itself

Renovating without a strategy is the most expensive mistake.
Clarity now can save a lot of money later.
